Sometimes, the relationship between a private music instructor and students & their families falls into a gray area between business and friendship, but it must be remembered that your association with Custom Creations Musical Services is a business relationship first and foremost. As with other businesses, Custom Creations follows a set of procedures and policies, established to ensure fairness for all students and Custom Creations as well.

BUSINESS

Because of working with children in the home, a parent MUST be in the house and aware of what's going on the entire time that the child is in the house. With the exception of physicians who are on call, cell phones are to be turned off.

Payments for lessons are made, in full, on a monthly basis, payable at the first SCHEDULED lesson for the ensuing month. If a student needs to reschedule their first scheduled lesson, the payment is still due on or before the first originally scheduled date.

Payments may be made in cash, by personal check, or by money order. Checks and money orders must be made payable to "Gregory Power."

A late fee of $5.00 will be imposed on any payment not received by CCMS on or before the first scheduled lesson of the month PLUS $5.00/week until the payment is received by CCMS. If you miss making your payment on the day of the first scheduled lesson of the month, it may behoove you to mail it promptly.

Monthly payments are to be considered retainers for educational services rendered. Payments will be based on the number of available lessons according to the instructor's schedule.

Lessons missed by the student for any reason are forfeited. Scheduled lessons missed by the instructor will be rescheduled.

Lessons with CCMS are year-round. During the months of June and July, a Summer Special is offered with flexible scheduling, affording families some time off for vacations.

Custom Creations' business hours are Monday - Thursday, 11:00AM - 9:00PM. Please plan to do all business during those hours, including phone calls (and, please, NEVER call before 11:00AM!). If, when you call, you don't make direct contact, please leave a message, giving some convenient times for a return call. If you need to stop by the house to take care of business, please call first.

EDUCATION

Students who choose to study through CCMS have the full benefit of all that the studio has to offer and are expected to follow the established program.

Students are required to practice at home specifically for their private lesson six days a week. Daily practice times are as follows:

Students are to practice as instructed and to be prepared for each lesson.

Parents are expected to participate in their children's practicing and are responsible for their child's daily practice (time AND quality).
